It’s too late. I should’ve done it by now.
If you’ve ever told yourself this, you’re not alone.
I hear it all the time – from people who’ve wanted to make a change for years but feel like they’ve "missed their shot."
You’re too old. It’s too late. You’ve missed your chance.
That’s what the voice in your head says – especially if you’ve tried before.
But did you know that:
Debbie Harry didn’t find success with Blondie until she was 31 – after years of “failed” acts and
Bill Withers was working in a factory before he found worldwide fame with “Ain’t No Sunshine” at 32.
Chris Pratt was 34 when he swapped loveable goofball for leading man. In just six months, he lost over 60 pounds through structured training, cardio, and nutrition – and said the changes didn’t just open up new roles, they transformed how he felt about himself.
They didn’t "make it" early – but they made it.
If I really wanted it, I’d have done it by now.
This sounds logical, right? But it’s actually flawed.
Most people do want to feel more, and in the context of Fitness & Thinking Fridays, this might be successful, content or attractive, fitter, healthier, or more confident. Wanting isn’t the problem. It’s knowing how to do it, feel it, achieve it consistently without getting overwhelmed, distracted, or disheartened.
We think motivation should be enough – but it isn’t. If it were, I wouldn’t have a business. The most successful people I work with don’t succeed because they want it more. They succeed because they get support, structure, and accountability before they feel fully ready.
I’ll start when life calms down.
I had a conversation this week with someone who was on the cusp of missing something they’d been dreaming about for over a year – not because they couldn’t do it, but because they were living for someone else.
They’d waited. Delayed. Put their own happiness on pause. And despite the fact they could still go and achieve the thing, told me to my face with three days before their deadline that they probably never wanted it in the first place!
Why? Because they were clinging to a person who they’d just split up with who, frankly, didn’t love them the way they deserved. Everyone around them could see it.
Here’s the thing: the moment you stop living for you – and especially when you’re living for someone who loves you less than you should love yourself – you’re cooked.
You don’t get time back. You don’t get do-overs. Waiting for life to be perfect, or for someone else to validate your worth, will keep you stuck forever.
The best time to start is now. Not when the stars align. Not when someone else finally gives you permission. Now.
It’s not worth it unless it’s a big transformation.
This is a trap.
We glorify "before and after" photos and viral success stories. But the real win? Losing 1kg and keeping it off. Losing another one and keeping that off. Walking 500 more steps than you usually do today. Walking another 500 steps more than that tomorrow. Feeling more in control, eating for enjoyment and because you need it, moving better, sleeping better.
You don’t have to transform your entire life. Sometimes you just need to stop hating it.
Coaching isn’t worth the money.
I get it. Coaching costs money. But so do:
Diet plans you don’t stick to
Gym memberships you barely use
Fat loss shakes that make you miserable
Takeaways you buy because you’re fed up.
Coaching isn’t just a plan. It’s a person in your corner. It’s someone who helps you break patterns, build habits, and stay the course when motivation runs out.
If you’ve already spent time, money, and energy not getting the results you want – ask yourself, what’s the real cost of staying stuck?
You haven’t missed your shot. You’re just warming up.
If you’re here because something in your life isn’t adding up – your confidence, your energy, your self-love – this is your reminder: you still can.
Most of the people I work with aren’t trying to “get shredded.” They’re trying to get back to themselves – or figure out who that even is.
They want to walk into summer without the oversized hoodie.
They want to stop dreading photos, nights out, or looking in the mirror.
They want to feel strong, capable – even sexy again (if not for the first time).
And above all, they want to feel like they’ve still got time to become someone they’re proud of.
And they do. You do.
You’ve got a better shot at success now than ever before – because you know more, care more, and are finally ready to do it properly.
I help people:
• Lose 5-10kg in 10-12 weeks – and keep it off.
• Build strength and confidence for sports, events, holidays, even love.
• Reconnect with their body after injuries, heartbreak, or burnout.
All it takes is time, space, and the right plan.
I don’t care how much you earn, what car you drive, or your job title. I’ve coached people on benefits and people in the boardroom. Feeling good in your own skin? That’s priceless.
If you’re still reading this, you haven’t missed your shot.
You’re just warming up. You’re not "too late." You’re not "too far gone." And you don’t have to do it alone.
If you’re ready to stop overthinking it and actually get started – reply to this newsletter or fill out this enquiry form and I’ll be in touch. And if you know someone who might benefit from a free coaching call, feel free to share this newsletter with them.
Much love and I’ll see yas in the next one, from a guy who didn’t feel properly right in his body until he left the central London flat, lost his office job, worked with a fitness coach and business mentor and started it all all over again*

*Those years of figuring it out were painful, laughable, and super instructive to my approach – but don’t worry, I’ve been there so you don’t have to – and if you are there right now, well, maybe I’m exactly the person to help you through!
